This course is not included in the price of the show ticket. The cost is $300 and includes a kit worth $150.00

Each Nail Technician passing the course will become part of the Team Meticulous Manicurist and be listed on The Meticulous Manicurist website for clients to find you.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the Advanced Pedicure workshop is to train licensed nail technicians in detailed manipulative skills to work on toenails that are not textbook, to work in the scope of a nail technician license, to use proper ergonomic body posture to avoid repetitive use injuries, to operate a nail drill or electric file machine to contour thick nails utilizing the proper physics to avoid client injury, to utilize proper bits and understand disinfection protocol of electric file bits between uses and to teach the business skills to build a strong clientele necessary to advance their career. The 7-hour course is measured in clock hours.

COURSE EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of the advanced workshop requirements, the Nail Technician will be able to:
1. Understand nail technician/client relationships and use proper communication skills to interpret client needs and respect the need to deliver an excellent service to retain and build a strong clientele
2. Perform the advanced manipulative skills in pedicuring to reduce nail thickness and contour nail with onychodystrophy and utilize patron protection and disease control protocols to meet client expectations and needs.
3. Apply the theory, technical information and related matter to assure operating in the scope of practice according to their state rules and regulations.
4. Understand and balance business responsibilities such as return on investment, profit and loss ratio and tax responsibilities, and inventory control to know when it is time to become self-employed.
5. Incorporate ergonomic body posture to prevent repetitive use injuries.
6. Incorporate massage techniques into pedicure service.
